Founded by Nana Quagraine, a Ghanaian woman raised in South Africa and now living in Brooklyn, New York. 54KIBO has one of the most extensive collections of world-class African artisans and makers.

"Nana always loved the unique contemporary African design items she found on trips home. But she realized these designs were largely hard to access globally. Nana launched 54kibo in 2018 with a team committed to sharing the endless creativity in Africa and its Diaspora. It's our pleasure to share it with you."
